A devastating incident occurred in Jharkhand's Giridih district, where a 12-year-old boy lost his life after falling into a 60-foot-deep hole.The tragic event unfolded during a berry-plucking excursion on Bhadua Pahari in the Mufassil police station area.
The boy, identified as Karan Bhuiyan, slipped into the illegal mine pit hole, remaining trapped for at least five hours before a rescue operation successfully brought him out around 4:00 pm. Despite immediate efforts and being rushed to a nearby hospital, Karan was declared dead, marking a somber day for the community.
Four boys went up a hillock in Bhadua Pahari in Mufassil police station area around 11:00 am to pluck berries, they said.While plucking berries, Karan Bhuiyan slipped into the illegal mine pit hole, which was 60 feet deep, they added. The three other boys said that they could not spot the hole as it was covered with shrubs.
